Learn to identify and respond to sexual harassment before it escalates.
Teacher Talk isn’t just for teachers.
Professionals who work with young people have a unique opportunity to support healthy growth and respond to concerning behavior. Teacher Talk is built for teachers, coaches, troop leaders, youth-group leaders, nannies, religious organizations, and anyone who works with children.
Designed using the latest research on sexual violence prevention, this course will teach you about the prevalence and impact of sexual harassment on young people. You’ll also learn real-life strategies for identifying and responding to harassment if you see it in your community.
We are currently evaluating Teacher Talk and we would love for you to participate. If you, or a group would like to join our pilot and take Teacher Talk at no cost, please email Laurie Graham at: laurie.graham@ssw.umaryland.edu

What folks are saying about Teacher Talk
Teacher Talk was an eye-opening experience to see how prevalent sexual violence is in young children’s lives. Learning the SAFE-T method of handling sexual harassment gave me a better grasp on how to step in and when it is appropriate for me to do so.
I feel so much more confident recognizing and intervening in sexual harassment situations. I recommend this course to anyone who works with kids!
